One Handed Catch

The Review: The book One Handed Catch is about an 11 yr old boy named Norm. It was July 4th, 1946 when the accident happened!!!!!!!!!!! Norm had been at his father's deli when the tragedy occurred. When Norm was at the hospital the first thing that was on his mind was about his ability to play baseball! Would he ever be able to play again? When Norm got out of the hospital he went to tryouts. A week later they got the call that said Norm made the baseball team. On the last game of the season a kid hit a fly ball out to Norm. Read the book to find out what happens next.

The One Handed Catch is an outstanding book! It's about a normal 11-12 year old boy named Norm...
until the ACCIDENT happened. It is July 4th, 1946-World War II has just ended-and everything is getting back to normal-well, almost everything. On one of their busiest days of the year (July 4th), Norm goes into the back of his father's meat market to cut some meat. Something gets stuck in the meat grinder Norm goes to pull it out-AND THE ACCIDENT HAPPENED. The problem is, once Norm gets the meat to go through, he just can't seem to get his hand out of the grinder. Norm yells for his mom-and his parents and Ray (their employee) rush to the kitchen. They call their doctor, and they take Norm to the hospital. It turns out that Norm has lost his hand.
WILL NORM SURVIVE SURGERY?
WILL HE FULFILL HIS DREAM OF BEING A MAJOR LEAUGE BASEBALL PLAYER?
You'll need to read the book to find out!
